Very straightforward to use, nice clean graphics, and a great tool for time strengthening.

This is great metronome app. It is very versatile, and easy to use. Its especially great for learning to play multimeter music. The ability to silence beats has been useful in teaching students to play in time on their own.

The best part is that it keeps great time! No lopsided beats, even at really high tempos.

Fantastic tool. Accurate, easy to use, and unique in function and features.

This is a cool app - have a suggestion tho - instead of randomly/gradually dropping out individual notes in mute mode, it would be good to be able to choose to drop entire measures randomly/gradually instead. That would help tempo training greatly, since when the muted interval finally unmutes, you would get at least a full measure to sync back up. This would be very useful in live band situations as well, and could be used to assure songs start at the right tempo but then fades out to let the musicians take over.

This app would be complete if it had a subdivision speed for quintuplets and septuplets. Nonetheless, great app!

Definitely one of the beat apps Ive seen. Love all the capabilities and creative thinking with Avis design. I look forward to continuing my exploration with it!!!

This metronome is killer and my students love it. When you turn on the random click sound deleter all bets are off, you will find the true limitations of your own rhythm. And for me and my students, thats where growth occurs. Great invention!

This has really helped me keep a constant time - especially through fills which I tend to rush. I use it every practice.

Ive tried other metronome apps for the iPhone and have found them to be a bit inaccurate. The space between the beats changes ever so slightly causing the time to rush and lag. This is the ONLY metronome app Ive used that keeps PERFECT time. For the more advanced user, the programming capability of this app is second to none. Programming different time signatures/subdivisions is a breeze. This app is a serious practice tool for the musician who wants to play along to odd time signatures. And the mute feature is a great way to improve your basic sense of time as well. GET IT!!

This app is just what the doctor ordered for getting my sense of rhythm together with its ability to randomly mute, or mute in patterns. Brilliant! Its super easy to use, has presets, and the choice of sounds is awesome too. Another plus is that for prog music, its the only metronome that I know of that can do complicated accent patterns. An excellent tool for musicians of any type.

Metronomes can be the bane of some musicians’ lives, and the endless pursuit of trying to play perfectly with them does not necessarily ensure temporal competency. As a result, the resourceful musician has learned to use the simple metronome in more creative ways by assigning different beat values to the click (i.e. the click is beats 1 and 3). The problem with this approach is that it often promotes faster rather than stricter tempo. The Time Guru Metronome app solves that problem perfectly and really helps to solidify ones sense of time. As a professional percussionist and music educator, I use the app to really help focus mine and my student’s rhythmic abilities at any tempo and in any meter (another significant difference over a typical metronome). If you are a serious musician or a teacher looking for a better way to really work on a student’s temporal skills, this app is well worth the paltry $3.00 investment. I cannot recommend it enough.

Love everything about except the click sounds. Would like some other options, even just a basic, really clean and clear click. Otherwise, its feature set cant be beat for an iPhone metronome.
