Time Guru Metronome App Reviews

I really love time guru, that’s one of the best tool for musical practice. It more than deserves its price. My only concern is that the app is really energy consuming, even used in background. I hope this is a feature that will be solved soon. Without this last concern, I would definitely deserve 5 stars.

Far out! THE best all around time/ tempo/ metronome out there--and by quite a bit. Awesome click library: the hell with those annoying, stupid sounds perpetrated by the likes of Korg. The random mute function is meant to enhance your "inner beat" and it does so in a way that is both intuitive and challenging. Time signatures and time combinations range from dumb-proof simple to polyrhythmic heaven. You choose it. Seriously, I cant recommend this Time Guru highly enough. Plus the guy who designed it is John Scofields sideman. Not sure how this is relevant to my review but one can never go wrong with the venerable mr Scofield.

Great metronome app. Beautiful samples. But when you changed one of the meters to a pause you cant change it back to a note. You have to delete it, screwing up your setup (since that meter is now missing and you have to delete everything behind it and put it back in the right order). Thats just stupid.

Amazing. Just what every serious musician needs. The ability to add rests to a metronome pattern makes this already powerful metronome into a basic sequencer. Fantastic. I use it to record loops and practice with, and for developing slow time, its amazing as well.

everything about this metronome is killer... theres just one thing I still want: gradual tempo increase/decrease! it would be awesome for speed training. then I would never need to leave the house. ever.

This is one of the very best apps I have ever purchased. I am a professional musician for over 20 years and I have noticed an immediate improvement in my inner sense of time after working with Time Guru for only a few short weeks. Some of the features that are extremely useful are: the slowest BPM settings, the ability to program and save shifting meter sequences, the ability to mute bars or sections within a loop to keep you honest, and the amazing randomizing feature with a gradual onset option. Simply the best metronome I have ever used, I cant recommend this app enough!

A genius random mute function, vast possibilities of odd meter parameters and all of the necessary features of standard metronome apps - all within a super effective simple design. Its really exciting haha
